I just bought a Vapochill LS for my 3.2 GHZ 478 - I am bored on wind cooling.

Is it worth me upgrading my NON Extreme Edition 3.2 to a Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.4 2MB S478 800FSB or is the improvement marginal as I will OCing it HEAVILY at these sub zero temperatures...

I used to have a normal P4 3.0 in my laptop which I upgraded to a 3.4EE....For normal activities; browsing, e-mail, office, project, visio etc I didn't notice much difference...But when doing video editing and then encoding to DVD I did notice a definite increase, very much faster indeed....Also when using photoshop etc....So it depends really what you want to do with it....
As mine is a laptop, I don't really venture into overclocking it as cooling is a problem as it is....

With the Vapochill I can safely get the 3.2 to 3.8 or 4.0 on a Good day I think!

    -40 Degree's!

Phase Change Cooler at -36 Celcius Idle - cooling my Socket 478 3.2 Ghz Intel.

How far can I push the Overclock in Mhz wise?

    My FX57 used to hit -30C under load using a R507 & a chilly1 head.

How far you'll be able to overclock it depends on what motherboard you have, what memory, how much luck is on your side etc etc

What is all this chat about Chilly1.

I've read up on his heads and stuff but where in the UK can you get one?

Is it REALLY worth the extra money?

When I get my second FX-57 box in December I'll prolly go the Vapochill Route cause I heard Mach 2 GTs get into Positive Temperatures...

Would you like to know that I am running -36 C Idle and about -22 Load so far.

Temperatures improve after a two continous days and the difference between Idle and load are a LOT less.
