Now I've not played the PSO series ever, but may as well keep this one on the radar:

    Phantasy Star Portable - Trailer

From what I've heard, it may use the PS3's adhoc mode to connect to the internet. You get all these games that you can play wirelessly, but its only via adhoc. If you're like me, you're pretty much the only person you know with a PSP so its a touch useless. This new functionality lets you hook up to the PS3 locally and then connect to the net to go online with anyone.

I just played the demo for this and quite enjoyed it. Wasnt a major fan of the dc and pc one but did used to play them off and on. First impressions of this are that the combat feels a bit faster and more fluid making it more fun for me. The game isnt much different other than that except for some graphical differences and redesigns. It doesnt look quite as good as the previous ones ive played but imo it plays better.

Does anyone know when the ps3 adhoc party is coming out in the uk?

btw the demo isnt out on the uk store yet but you can get it if you create a us account and download through media manager...

It doesnt support infrastructure mode only ad hoc which is why you need a ps3 to play it online through the 'ad hoc party'. A bit silly to not have infrastructure with the games design mainly being about multiplayer *shrug*
