i connected to live for the first time last night (long piece of cable as i haven't been able to get my ethernet bridge to work yet, see my other post!)

Loaded up project gotham racing 2 and it downloaded and applied an update (i think it is paris/long beach extention)

The problem is that now the game seems to slow down a bit when 4 people are playing? It didn't used to do this before? and the game overall seems to run a little slower?

    Is this normal?

dont think the download would be the paris maps etc as you have to pay for them and you would have to agree payment etc

But have you tried the diagnostic section on the xbox to see what your connection is like

as atated in a post from lorenzi a while back

the is called Xbox and NTL just scroll down a bit

the game itself seems to be slower even when not connected to live?
the only visible extras are 2 new groups of cars with the m3csl and ariel atom unlocked

The 'update' you have is just the one that enables you to connect to 'live', as is the case with pretty much all games the first time you connect with them(for new users on older games). But why the game appears slower i have no answer to that, have you tried driveing the Porsche 911 GT1 round Stockholm SpeakFreak? Nothing should appear slow round that track!

Are you playing in 50hz or 60Hz mode?? as 50Hz is alot a slower. Just go into your dash board settings and change video to 60Hz - note though you wont be able to continue a save game if it was in 50Hz.
