Pete Townshend Mustang Tribute

Partly the scientific side of me (but probably more the child-like side of me) decided to see how hardy the Mustang is to some Pete Townshend guitar smashing style abuse.

I would like to start by saying "don't try this at home, kids!". Also my Mustang has been playing up of late and is outside the 90 day US warranty that came with it so sadly uneconomically to repair with the Squier on its way.

The Mustang itself is pretty hardy given it feels so light. Took at least 8-9 decent blows before the case started to split and some effort to get the neck to separate from the body. All in all I'm very impressed with the construction of the body, just a shame the strings are so unlike those on a normal guitar making it so hard to play above medium difficulty.
