Pet Shop Boys at Glastonbury

Watched this last night, on BBC Three.

Truly the best prog I've watched in ages. They were fantastic. I hardly ever watch the BBC, let alone Three, but this has given me a new insight.

Wish I'd recorded the prog. Definitely a DVD to keep. I hope they repeat it so I can record it.

I've downloaded it via the iplayer but can't see whether it has digital rights protection and will expire in a month, or if I can keep it on HDD / burn it to a DVD.

Anyone got any thoughts, please?

AKAIK everything on iPlayer is time limited. It's worth keeping an on on the highlights programmes on 301 as they may re-show it there.

If all else fails, I've still got it on the PVR, so I can run you off a DVD.

I agree BTW, great set. Showed some of the youngsters how it should be done.

Yes, please Gary. I'll gladly send a payment if you could do me a copy. I'll PM you my address.

I haven't enjoyed a performance so much since I saw Bruce Springsteen live at Roundhay Park, Leeds. That was probably 12-15 years ago. Like now, I was amazed at just how many first-class songs he had in his repertoire.

Neil Tennant looked a bit like Ian Duncan Smith, but I guess the ravages of time don't favour the rich more than the rest of us.

What was remarkable was the crowd shots at Glastonbury. Everyone from the kids to the Granddads were bopping away in sheer delight.

Exactly as you said. Shows the youngsters how it should be done.

I agree, it was a brilliant set. Wish I had recorded it too. I will be checking BBC4 and BBC HD listings for a repeat showing over the next few weeks!:D

Was a brilliant set, but then so was Muse on BBC HD at the same time. Been a very good Glastonbury overall this year.

It certainly was. I wish I'd gone but didn't fancy the prospects of wellies, swamps and Portaloos.

I'll probably go next year and it will be just that.

Sod's Law, I guess.

I just downloaded that from a website.

Very similar, I agree, but not exactly the same.

Looks like Gary's going to help with a copy of the Glastonbury gig. Thanks for his and your help.

It was a surprise for all of us, never though I'd come back with a sun-tan!

I see that they have stopped doing I Will Survive with It's A Sin, used to love that, both worked very well

BBC Four are repeating an hour of the set on Saturday 31st July at 1am!

I just hope they keep in all my favourites:D
