This beautiful girl was 13 recently, and as every year goes past, it gets harder to resist her food face. Her favourite night tonight; Friday night pizza night, so plenty of crusts of freshly made sourdough pizza going round.

She's looking gorgeous and well looked after, hope Loki makes it to 13 and looks as healthy as she does👍
She has her fair share of problems, but thankfully they’re all fairly manageable. Arthritis in her elbows is the main thing for her, for which she used to be on metacam until we saw the first signs of liver and kidney toxicity. Only the other day we were discussing medical bills and estimated that total cost over the years must be around £15,000! Thankfully she’s been insured since we got her.

After an issue with her liver, resulting in a trip to a local super vet, she’s been on cooked chicken, vegetables and brown rice for food  Truthfully, I think it has made a world of difference - I’ve owned many dogs and never have I had one live this long and maintain such a lovely fur coat! We joke that her ears could be made into silk purses:p

Can anyone recommend a product for dry skin? This happens reasonably often where my dogs skin turns black and gets very dry/itchy (especially noticeable around the belly/legs). Usually lasts a couple of weeks before returning to normal but it seems to be sticking around much longer this time. It's an allergy of some sort, likely pollen iirc. I'm going to call into pets at home tomorrow to see if they've any shampoos or supplements to help but just wondered if any of you can recommend something.

Lovely. I can't resist a Cocker.

Time flies. I took this photo of our girl nine years ago. She walks through the water now.

I am biased but there is not much better than watching a cocker in full flight.

Anything wet on the scene and the recall goes out of the window  . Learnt to live with it and just keep plenty of towels!! bonkers breed but that's what is great about them imo.

There is a great site called Lords and labradors and they have special "drying robes" which people say are fantastic for their wet dogs.

They're a bit expensive (£29.99) but I'm saving up for a couple for my 2.

Unless the reviews are not true, you wouldn't need to have lots of towels as some have said they wrap their dog up in it and by the time they're home, the dogs dry and cozy.
