OMG!! How good are they! They look at least as good as the console versions. I really can't wait for this, at last PES will be playable anywhere!
Cheers for posting those, they have made my day!
EDIT: They are also in Widescreen and the players don't look squashed!
had a feeling you'd be lurking this late like me
must admit those do look mighty fine and i hope WiFi gaming is enabled it would be the ultimate pes, untill the next gen
Me? The 13th Duke of Wybourne? Here? Lurking in an internet AV Forum? At three oclock in the morning? With my reputation?
What were they thinking of?
Yes surely they must include wifi internet gaming with this. I'm sure there would be enough of us on here who would get it and have a tourney or 10.
Liking the look of these!
there is a stirring in my groin ( god i hope its just my mobile ringing) Cant wait for this.
Konami of Europe press release
Pro Evolution Soccer 5 scores on PSP (PlayStation®Portable)

football series warms up for new Sony handheld
Konami of Europe has announced a version of its much anticipated Pro Evolution Soccer 5 will be released for the PSP this autumn.
Due for release on PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC-DVD in Q4, the PSP version of Pro Evolution Soccer 5 will feature the utter realism, intuitive play and fast-paced action of the ever-popular series. The handheld version will also be almost identical in terms of available clubs and international sides, with 57 national sides lining up alongside 136 club teams.
Pro Evolution Soccer 5 also benefits from a number of exclusive features designed to showcase the PSPs capabilities. The highly-competitive multi-player aspects of the game are highlighted using the hardwares wireless systems. Using this, players within a certain network radius can challenge rival Pro Evolution Soccer 5 fans to games, with all data related to match results goals for, goals against, wins, etc retained in a running tally.
Solo players can also hone their skills within six different leagues and a host of cup tournaments, and the PSP game can also be linked to the PlayStation 2 version of Pro Evolution Soccer 5 for data exchange. Using this, players can import teams they have created within the PlayStation 2 game for use against friends on their PSP, or swap teams with other PSP users.
WIFI gaming on pes, enough said
But only locally, not over the t'interweb .
yes you can. you can do it with all current wifi psp games using a 3rd party program like xbconnect
supported games so far for xbconnect are:
ATV Offroad Fury
NFL Street 2 Unleashed
Tiger Woods PGA Tour
Tony Hawk's Underground 2
Twisted Metal Head On
NFS Underground Rivals
damn.....v. nice. Now if they capture the gameplay.....Konami are laughing all the way to the bank
This game can't come soon enough. After the travesty of FIFA, it's about time we get a decent footie game.. The PS2 - PSP connectivity is interesting (PSP plugging into PS2 USB port I assume) and opens up more PS2 - PSP connectivity possibilities, and definitely more for the PS3. Since I'll be getting the Xbox version, it's moot anywho.
Man, I just can't wait for this game. I'm guessing Oct/Nov. Man, Sept/Oct/Nov are gonna be sweet PSP months. Burnout/GTA/PES5. Nice one.
dude its the UK...forget Sept....Oct/Nov is more realistic....emphasis on Nov...
I'm not expecting ProEvo in Sept, Burnout is Sept. ProEvo will be October alongside the PS2 release and Xbox release, I would assume, but like the Xbox last year, I expect that to be put back to November. GTA is out in Oct.
Anywho, the UK gets football games before the US, for obvious reasons.
yeah.....still miffed that soccer is dropped on us and we're stuck with it. I meant Pro Evo, not Fifa
winning eleven 9 PSP video
Fantastic!!! That looks absolutely amazing!! Runs at a decent speed and although it was just a short clip, there didn't seem to be any slowdown!
