    Well
    It Arrived Friday.
    1st Impressions
    Looks Good
    Loads of Options
    Plays Nice

I never played PE Soccer 2 but have played PES 1 to death.

The one touch football is good but what's the Story with the Team Names ??
    West Midland Village ??!!

I'm 1/2 way through the master league but have got bored of the game.

Might see what Fifa 2004 plays like.

No it's not ruined i've played PES1 & PES2 to death & PES3 is way better than both which is saying something.
The game plays like REAL football getting wins of 1-0 2-0 is hard.
But that is what REAL football is like isn't it?
If you like to pick the ball up in your own half run past everyone & win 10-0 maybe you'd be better off with fifa.

But imho PES3 is the best football game on the planet & the only game that will beat it is PES4 :D

    Ps Ian
Just edit all the team names & player names mate, it's a pain yeah but once done it's done.

For me PES3 is infinitely better than PES2. To be honest I thought PES2 was very disappointing, especially in comparison with Winning Eleven 6: Final Evolution, which came out just after.

BTW, just buy an X-port and download a memory card file to correct the player names etc. It's the easiest way, and not too expensive if you can get a few mates to share the cost.

Yeah i've seen that disc & i was going to get it, but it unlocks everything in the game leaving you nothing to play for :(
So i've changed the team names myself & some of the players.
I'm just waiting for an up to date players list & i'll sort the rest of it out.

Great game, loving giving are kid & my mates a lesson in football :rotfl:

Played pes2 loads and won the Master League on Extreme, but is anyone else finding the Master League on 3 stars a tad difficult, it took me 4 games to score my 1st goal, and still not managed to sign any players!!!!

But some of the player animations, omg toooooo realistic. Heskey even spends most of the game on his arse, spot on.

I doubt it will have live play, but atleast updating the team names might be a little bit easier than the PS-2 method.

What makes you doubt it would have on-line play?

That's if it ever sees light of day on xbox.

Seeing as how ea have fallen out with ms over online play, konami have a chance to monopolise.

i've just played the pc demo version. I think it's rubbish.

The player you control changes randomly all the time, you can't do a sliding tackle without being booked, whereas everytime you have the ball they get it off you easily with no fouls, you can't run round players very well. Having played fifa 2004 demo too, find that both games are very poor and that pro evo 2 is better than pro evo 3 and fifa 2003 still is the best fifa game out.

I just played the PC Demo and quite simply its superb, best footie game i ever played, centuries ahead of fifa

and that seems to be the genual oppinion among soccer gaming forums as well,

cant wait for the full game

Although i enjoyed Fifa 2003 its an insult to say that comes anywhere near PES in my oppionion

    why's it trolling?

The real trolling is when you insult other people for their opinions. I haven't done that.

You're the troll here spacecat, sorry mate.

    Games guru
I have all 3 pro evo games & i love pro evo 2 as much as the next man.
But imho pes3 is way ahead of pes2 it's much more like real football.
The way they shoot is class the defence is all over you & on 5* it's hard to win more than 2-0 just like real football.
Only problem with pes3 is the keepers are crap :(
I've just got fifa 2004 & will tell you guys what i think when i've played it.
Imho pes3 is the best football game on the planet & only pes4 will beat it.

I think you are a troll because I know what whinging u r going to come up with before you do, have played PES3 on PS2 and PC demo and absolutely nothing you say rings true as is also the experience of practically everyone else who has played it on numerous forums, your comments such as 'It plays like a Dog' are clearly designed to win you attention , who do you think you are the simon cowell of the games board.

Your comments are Troll like because they are ill informed, ignorant and based on some misguided prejuidice, not a decent analytical criticism of the game.People with far more knowledge and experience than you have hailed this the best footy game on the planet by far, see Edge and about every mag and footy site you can mention.I would take their comments far more seriously than the rubbish you freely spout, I suggest you learn how to play the game and then make an informed judgement .

Until then keep the idiotic remarks to your self you are just making a fool of yourself

    knowledge and experience?
What the hell are you on about?

I am just stating my opinion about the game.

Why is that so hard for you to swallow. Seriously get a life, and if you don't like someone else opinions, quite simply disregard them rather than engaging in a personal attack. THAT is trolling. NOT stating one's own opinion. I don't like pro evo soccer. There you go. FIFA 2004 is rubbish too. ISS on the ps1 is the best footy game yet by a long way.

If i just turned round and said you was a Di** He** you would be ****** off yes? and want to know why?

Well if you just turn round and say what many believe to be the best footie game ever is **** then people will be annoyed unless you can back that up?

so how about been useful and providing some decent comments to back up your claim?

But did any of you here make the game?
    No.

So why find it so personal. I don't like the game. I don't need to tell anyone why. I just didn't like it.

If you said for instance, i don't like hotdogs, would i say you stupid troll??

Well that's exactly what spacecat did.

    I find that offensive.

I have every right to defend myself from people like that.

Just reading your first post, everything you said about the game points to you just sucking at it,

For a start my player i'm in control of does not change randomly all the time, the whole point of tackling is to judge it just perfect, tackles from behind or from the side without getting the ball will be fouls just like in real football if you judge it perfect and get the ball then no foul will be given, and as for taking on players, yes you can but you have to realise you cant just run flat out from one end to the other you have to slow down to change direction,

I think you should just stick to your arcade football games as its obvious you cant handle simulation games which refelect real life football.
