Can anyone suggest the perfect height for 4 wall mounted surround speakers.

I have heard conflicting suggestions ranging from ear height to 1.9metres.

    Please help

1.67 meters above carpet level. :clown:

But seriously, around 1.8m is recommended. Ear level is rather irritating, especially if the speakers are close to the listening position. Though in the end it's proabably a question of personal preference and the layout of your room (where you can actually mount the speakers).
