Has anyone any experience of this camera ? I'm attracted by it's 5x zoom and 5Mp capability.

After much research we just bought this fab camera on Friday and have spent the weekend getting to know it. Picture quality is fantistic and the zoom is wonderful.other features are very good too.

After much haggling we managed to pick one uo for £470.00 - great value for money!

Sounds like a good deal to me. Where did you get it from ?
I think the only real negative thing I've seen about this camera in reviews is that it takes about 6 seconds to switch on - is this noticable ?

    Hi
Al and I bought the camera in Jessops in the end.
I haggled like a banshee between various shops then went to Jessops in Basingstoke and got it down from £550 to £470 with a saving of £14 off an 128mb SD card too. (£39 instead of £53)

Probably could have got it cheaper on line but I've got the security of having bought it from a high street shop which is easier to deal with if it goes tits up.

I'm no David Bailey but I'm thrilled with my first efforts. Got a pin-sharp close-up shot of a frog's nostril - wow! It can take photos from a distance of 2 inches! Never thought I'd get so excited by a mere 2 inches ...

Dont be put off by the amount of time it takes to fire up - this is really not an issue.

Go on - buy it - you know you need it badly!!

    All the best
    Flo

Sounds perfect to me - as soon as I find myself a new job I'll be getting one of these I think
