Anyone know just how much extra/different there will be between the two edits?

Also, is it worth waiting for the 4disk set or should I order the 2 disk directors cut?

    Regards

    HI Desticado,

The only cut of "Pearl Harbour" I want to see, is the one where the director slices his throat.

However, seriously though, let me say this.

The new, longer Director's Cut of PH is actually very similar to the standard version seen in cinemas and on UK DVD/VHS. The only difference, will be the inclusion of approximately 4-5 minutes of footage considered too gory for a PG-13 certificate in the US, which would have rated the film a more restrictive "R" certificate.

At a guess, I presume that the footage will be things like war wounds, sights of people being bombed/killed, etc, etc.

To be honest, unless you really, REALLY love the film, you may as well stick to the current release, and just forget about this so-called "Directors' Cut".

Never has a film less-deserved this title, than "PH". Does 5 minutes of slightly gory footage, really count as a true Director's Cut of a movie?! Well, with Jerry Bruckheimer behind it, I guess it must! Sheesh!

    Wow...

An extra 4-5 mins of footage where americans are being bombed & cut for their own arrogance at believing 'it could never happen to us we're american...."

Makes it almost worth owning for that alone.....

    ;) ;) ;)

Darn, I though we were gonna get Kate Beckinsale's nude scenes in that extra 4-5 mins as well. :(
