Well i thought the movie was "OK", but the battle scene was fantastic. Not sure which version to buy though, the 2 disc or the 3 disc! And anyone know why the 3 disc version has the directors cut movie is spread accross two discs? Surely they could fit it on one! (unless the DTS track is Full bit rate) Argh, that means i gotta make the effor to get up from my sofa and change the discs...but i suppose then again, i'd probably only watch the second half of the movie anyway! <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

If anyone even considers buying Pearl Harbor, they should do themselves a favour and get Tora! Tora! Tora! instead.

I haven't seen Pearl Harbor but was going to buy the DVD. However, from the reviews I have read it seems that perhaps the film is, erm, not very good to put it mildly. I thought that because I like The Rock and Armageddon I would probably like Pearl Harbor. Surely it's not THAT bad, is it?

As for which version, I'd probably go for the two disc edition. Although I'm a sucker for director's cuts and large amounts of extras that I never have time to watch, I just couldn't be doing with an intermission! Guess I'm just lazy.

None for me. Too much love story as I heard and few action, not like 'The Rock' or 'Armageddon', more like Titanic (the best bit were the last 30 minutes or so when the ship sank).

Better get Swordfish if you want some cool action. IMHO underrated movie but it seems a lot of folks is looking forward to the DVD release (out 30.10.01).

Yes I have to admit the love story was utter pants. The movie could have easily been 90 minutes long and have a short love story in it. It would probably have been rated quite good then. Dunno if you heard but the original writer of the movie, had a really good draft script. However, Mike Bay decided he wanted to make a huge love story out of it and wanted the script changed. Eventually the write refused to change it anymore. In the end they got another writer to change it! Its all Mike Bay's fault!

I'm only buying it to have that huge battle scene in DTS <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">
