I read a while ago that they're releasing a director's cut of Pearl Harbor on DVD, an 18-rated version with all the blood 'n' guts, bodies being ripped in half from shrapnel, extra bits, etc. I read it in a DVD magazine.

Does anyone know about this version and when will it be released? I thought it was going to be released in January this year, but this has already passed.

    Thanks.

    HI,

It'll be out very soon, though I don't have a specific date. However, I wouldn't get your hope up. The "Director's Cut" actually only reinstates about 2-3 minutes of footage! That's it!

Hardly worth it, really, unless you absolutely love the film already!

3 minutes can be alot of stuff. anyone who's seen the differences between the cut and uncut natural born killers will tell you. i think there were about 150 cuts made to that one. so if you are after blood and guts you might well get your moneys worth.

I originally heard (or thought i did) about that version whith loads extra......the excuse it being late was that some filming was having to be done and stuff like that......but no one else who has replied to my questions seems to know what im about, so I guess either i heard wrong or someone has changed the plans for the disc!

Yes, it can be, but it still doesn't improve "Pearl Habour" into becoming a good film! :D

    Buns,

I think this refered to the filming of the interactive menu's and not extra footage for the film its self.
