If you look at the text it is casting shadows, like a double image.

Ringing is an electromagnetic effect caused by an unterminated (or badly terminated) signal cable. In simple terms it causes the signal to bounce up and down the cable almost like a spring. It can be caused by a cable that is too long, coiled up, or the wrong impedance. Are you using a quality cable, and is it particularly long or coiled up?

Thanks for the info. I was not the one that originally reported the problem but I am interested in the pd50 and picked this problem up on the forums in a previous thread by shadow. I wanted to pursue it as no one responded to shadows question.

    Thanks again.

Hi Shaddow, looks like the gamester lead is the problem...
Do a search for 'gamester ghosting' (ghosting is how to describe your problem). It seems many people have seen this with the gamester at 480p. Fix seems to be to get the official MS cable... Check out the X-Box forum, there are a few posts describing your exact fault
