Hi, I was wondering, since PCM is uncompressed on DVDs, will any of the major home cinema amp manufcturers, such as Sony, Yamaha, Pioneer etc, & movie companies develop multichannel sound tracks using PCM technology? I think that it would sound better than Dolby & DTS.
    Cheers, Neil.

Besides DVD-A which is PCM als mjn pointed out already you can also get uncompressed multichannel sound from SACD, which uses DSD (instead of PCM) as the underlying technology.
