    Hi,

I'm off on my hols, first holiday for 10 years, so I thought I'd record this very rare event.

I really want a camcorder thats small and portable, two cameras spring to the fore-front.

    Sony's - PC8
    JVC's - DX95

Any people have any experience with these cameras, good/bad? Any recomendations would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for any help
    Rich

    Looks cool.

It's difficult to gauge scale from photos on the web, got a link to some sizes? Or a review ...

    I've read this

    amazon review

Did you find that to be true?

    Cheers

No obvious motor noise but that was the NTSC model perhaps the lower head speed in the UK makes it quieter

The TRV33 looks like a great camera, but doesn't look like I could fit it in my pocket. Looks pretty wide, I see that black think on the side looks like a battery pack/handle is that detatchable?

    Cheers

The black bit on the side is where the cassette mech lives - battery is on rear

    Hi darius.

Last summer I bought a PC8, and I'm perfectly happy.

You write that you want it small and portable. So you should go for the original bag too. It fits like a glove, and you can carry the camera in the belt with no problem.

As for price, check ex. http://www.hardware-guide.de/jsp/eVendi/product.jsp?p=22196
