Hi. I've got latest HP Envy notebook, TX-NR838 receiver and Sony 70" Bravia LED. When I hook PC up (HDMI) to PC input (HDMI) on my receiver, I get picture on TV ok, but no audio via receiver? Do I assume that HDMI would need to be ARC capable both ends to get audio from receiver? Or do I just need to run an RCA cable from PC to receiver to get audio. IE what is the standard for getting audio from PC to receiver when hooking up directly wanting both video and audio? Thanks

Sound should go over the HDMI connection as well as video, however, you'll have to select HDMI output as the Sound device in Windows Control Panel.
