I'm thinking really strongly of buying the toshiba 32wl48, as I'd prefer HDMI to DVI-with-HDCP (ie a Sharp) if possible. But....

Has anyone managed to get a pc to properly fill the screen over an HDMI connection? I'm guessing that HDMI will give the clearest display, and should allow 1 computer pixel = 1 screen pixel, even if some get chopped off at each side.

I don't remember finding any success stories in the various threads on this; please forgive me if I've missed something in my searching.

    Thanks :smashin:

I haven't read that anyone has been successful either.

The HDMI connection may not necessarily support 1:1 pixel mapping from a computer input. It will, I'm sure, support 1280x720 at 50Hz and 60Hz (since this is a standarad HDTV resolution), but the screen would scale this up to 1366x768 (the native resolution of the screen), which isn't 1:2 and would be bad for computer text.
