Hi All,

I am having the following problem , and do hope that some one can take the time to help me out .

When connecting my PC to my sony bravia 40" V40 via the DVi to HDMi cable , and then selecting HDMi channel on the TV, I am getting a blank screen only. I am using a Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb Graphics Car , and running Windows XP Pro.

The things that I have tried so far are :

Enabling 720p & 1080i HDTv setting in ATi CCC
changed resolution to 1280 * 720 in ATi CCC (also in windows)
changed refresh rate to 60Hz

Have also tried with the usual 1280 * 1084 setting I would use when using my normal monitor.

Thanks in advance.

I recently bought the Samsung LE32R41BDX and have similar problem with the PC connection. I have PC with its CRT monitor and want to use the Sammy as clone monitor just when playing games. Sadly as the manual states- it can only support the native widescreen resolution, which means squashing my CRT view.

I can bear this by just switching resolutions inbetween playing games, but most games do not support the native widesreen resolution and appear stretched on the Sammy LCD. If I alter the Samsung screen to 4:3 it still keeps the resolution squashed.

Has anyone been able to work around this? I dont fancy buying xbox 360 to get my gamin kicks out of my new purchase.

I have Win XP and Nvidia 6600GT with VGA and DVI output (usin the DVI with VGA adaptor to the VGA inout on the Samsung). Would a DVI to HDMI keep the resolution as I want? Dont fancy spending £60+ to find out I could be wrong....

thanks in advance. Id be happy playing with 4:3format on the TV, as the game is meant to be seen.
