PC to onkyo 608 quickie

i have connected a laptop to my 608 via a VGA cable, the picture is great, but i have no sound,

if i connect a 3.5 jack into the headphone socket on the laptop where on earth does the other end of the 3.5 jack go to in the rear of the amp ? ..

or am i missing something ? .. thanks

Your missing something - you need a 3.5mm - stereo RCA connector, like this.
