    Me again!

I have just downloaded the manual for my DVD burner and it says I need a P4 1.6 for the drive to work.

I only have P3 1 Gig, does this mean i can't install it?

Dabs didn't mention that when I bought it!

I suppose there just providing guidelines for the drive to get optimized performance. I can't see why your setup wont work. However you dont specify the amount of memory you have, you want at least 512 for dv authoring.

Pop it in and see if it works!!

I can see no reason why you wont be able to use your DVD burner in your PC.
AFAIK the burner uses very few resources from the PC, it is mainly the software controlling the burnewr that uses PC resources. If the specs on the box for the software say it will run on your PC then I think you will be safe to assume the burner is fine in there.

I have a DVD burner happily running in an old Celeron 450Mhz based machine with 768 Ram. Runs fine with no problems at all.
