PC Problems

Ok, this problem is a mystery.

Computer worked fine upto a couple of weeks ago.

I have installed AVG Anti Spyware and AVG Virus Checker, all upto date and working without any reported problems. Have run POC Doctor installed on my HP machine (1 1/2 years old Dual Core Pentium D 2.80 GHZ with 1 GB Ram), it has check all my hardware, processor, memory etc wih no problems reported.
I ran CC Cleaner and PC PItstop and neither reported any problems. But for some reason, the PC can be on 10 mins or 5 hours and the computer displays a blue screen and starts dumping the physical memory. Any ideas as I am at a loss. Is there any further checks I can do?

Many thanks.

There are about a million reasons for BSODs, but it may be the RAM.

Is the 1gb RAM in your PC split into 2 512mb sticks? If so, take one out, and run with just the other 512mb in. If you find that solves the problem, great, if not, try it with just the other 512mb in

But as I said, its a long shot...
