iMacs are PCs too, just ones that run Mac OS instead of Windows or Linux. Apple started using PC parts a few years ago now.

But anyway, those two specs are very different systems so it should be easy to choose between them once you decide what you're after. The iMac has neatness from an all in one, potentially attractive looks if you have a matching sense of aethetics and a better quality IPS screen for static images while the other has the monster graphics card that'll laugh at the iMac's entry level card (Desktop 6570 equivalent), the more powerful CPU and the more responsive monitor. Presuming it's a conventional desktop it'll also be easy to add to, fix and will likely have pretty usability than the iMac (which is fairly poor in that area, for example USB ports are placed at the back so you have to fumble around any time you want to plug a memory stick in).

And now is an awful time to buy an iMac as it hasn't been updated in a year and a half - that CPU is a Sandy Bridge i5-2500S.

You've specified a high end gaming PC so if you want to play games then the Mac is not going to be suitable. You can easily install OSX on the PC so you can always use OSX for non-gaming activities if you wanted.

'Easy' is relative. For a PC user, maybe. For someone who is best off being a Mac user or is expecting the whole Apple enchilada experience it's not.

OP, without having said what you do with it it's impossible to say.
