pc editing/software (2nd post)

    hi
    I am sure I read a post here re-editing and writing dvcam footage to dvd,can't find it.
    however in order to achieve good quality do I need ?:
    1) premiere for capture and editing
    2) tmpgenc for encoding
    3) nero for writing

    Premiere is a great editing package, but very expensive. You can get great results from other cheaper programmes.
    There are loads of encoding programmes, depends on what you are outputting you footage to. Most editing programmes can encode for tape output etc.
    The software bundled with your CD/DVD writer ill be fine for creating the disk.

    Most editing software comes as a bundle including everything you need to create the final product except the burning to disk software. Read the manual and see what you have got.
