Hi all, My computer has started to do some funny things when booting up recently. It pauses with a message saying 'Verifying DMI Pool Data ..............' sometimes it pauses for a minute sometimes longer and sometimes it freezes completely? The only thing i have done recently was to enable 'DMA' for my hard drive in device manager. I have removed it but still the same??? Any ideas what to try next or anyone know some helpful websites on this? Thanks.

I have just been experiencing a similar fault.
The cause or what I think is the cause and it has cured it was I had a CD in the same cable as the HD I removed it as it could have been corrupting data. I put it on an other cable and things have been OK since.
