pc as dvd player

    hi sorry to be a pain but i want to get my tosh set up right(it arrives today):) i want to use the pc for gaming/surfing but also to use my dvi out on 6800 gt to play hi def dvd's through my pc's dvd drive with win dvd or whatevers better,i see a lot of people reccommend setting pc up through vga but from what i can understand(newbie)i wont get hi-res pictures that way so could xomeone confirm that i need to hook up my pc via dvi-dvi on tosh to get what i want?
