pc (9 pin output)--/--> receiver( 6 inputs, 5.1 dvd)

    Hi! how can i connect(if i could) ..a 9 pins output with a sony receiver with 6 inputs 5.1 dvd? plese help me..

    When you say a 9 pin output, do you mean a serial port? If so, no chance :)

    i dont know if it's serial port ,it is also call the "Jazz" type plug..... each pin is one of the 5.1 inputs, rear/front/subwoofer/center etc etc.. should i buy a "converter" , destroy my reciever etc?? thanks!

    I think I know which type plug you mean, probably the same as is on my Abit soundcard. 9pin mini-din, my sound card came with a 9pin to 3 female 3.5 mini jack cable, which I could then plug 3.5 jack to 2 phono leads into.

    Not sure where you'd get one from.

    you are right , 9 mini din , i dont know neither where i can get one , but the real important thing that's possible to connect the souncard to the receiver...thanks a lot!

    Ah, similar to the PS/2 mouse & keyboard port? No idea where to get a cable from :)
