i have managed to use it as a web cam!! just connect it with the usb cable, select "usb streaming" to "on" in the "menu" and it will serve as a webcam. all this after installing the drivers. but i have one problem though, sometimes my computer cashes when i turn the cam on. any ideas how to correct it???

Replace Windows with Linux OS or replace the PC with a MAC

Seriously though, I would suggest checking you have the latest drivers and that the driver is for your version of Windows.

    Mark.
