I've just noticed that there is a pattern of colours on my tv screen ( Philips 32" 9616). It's like looking at a pool of water with oil in it( if you know what I mean).
You only really notice it when the tv is switched off.
Anyone know what has caused it?
    Thanks.

I remember years ago we had a tv that when you switched it off a sort of "jellyfish" appeared in the middle of the screen. An engineer came round and sorted it. Cant remember what it was coz it was at least 17 years ago

    Thanks for the info.
I see you had a Panasonic, thats funny because I have the famous Philips tv with the Panasonic tube!
For some reason It is not affecting the quality of the picture and to be able to see it you have to look at it from the side in a certain light. Strange isnt It?
I also have a Sony 4.3 but thats fine,I have never come across this before with a tv.
I would get an engineer out as it's under a 5 yr guarantee but am worried that It might end up worse or with some other problem and as it's not affecting the picture dont want to rock the boat.

I also have other problems, maybe Panasonic should improve quality control as the tube has dust on the inside.
