Pat on the back for Hitachi Customer Services

    too often alot of (warranted) criticism is thrown at customer services and their inevability to duck away from issues and complaints, so here is a refreshing change.
    Further to a previous post, I contacted Hitachi after I found a dead pixel in the centre of my 4 month old plasma.
    One week later and I have a brand new replacement. :thumbsup:
    Given that alot of these firms only replace after a reported minimum of 6, I was very pleased and thankful. well done Hitachi

    Big up to Hitatchi.

    A lot of companies consider a few dead pixels to be "in tolerance"
    So to get a replacement after only one is superb.

    Just for curiosity, was the pixel lit or not? If it was not then you shouldn't be able to tell when watching motion picture.

    it was lit 'cyan' colour. it was apparant more on skin tones, and was on all sources. they graded it 'A', and swapped no problem after a local engineer came up.
