Hello people, not sure what i am doing as it is my first time, but i downloaded a file that needs a password to open and i dont know where to go, anyone have any idea. Many thanks

what kind of file??

Is it a bitorrent download? If so some files require registration to the community. Have a look at where you downloaded it from and it should say if theres a password requirement and how to obtain it.
Some downloads are just c**p, I downloaded a free trial game from a companys website recently and it wouldn't let me install until I typed in my purchase registration code

Can't remember with it was called but I did have a piece of software that found codes, if a code was required to unrar something. Google is your friend
