Just got an email advising me to change my password.
    The reason being is here:
Collection of 1.4 Billion Plain-Text Leaked Passwords Found Circulating Online
Maybe worth just changing your email password to something new just in case. At least you can reset the password if someone does compromise your accounts. I recently had my old origin account compromised. Luckily EA emailed me saying my email address had been changed so I was able to reset if through that email.

I got an email the other day from Yahoo saying a login attempt from Brazil was denied as it was using out-of-date software. Barely remembered having this account. Changed the password anyway (by directly going to Yahoo, obvs). Wonder if it is related.

Also, if any of you use lastpass (or other similar tech) then they have an 'auto change password' button which will give you a new password on a bunch of well known sites with a single click.

Absolutely. There's no good argument to not do so.

Too many sites to scroll through in my authenticator list. A huge unique password will do for a chit chat site for me.

I still use this daily on many sites thanks to you, and recommend it to anyone who'll listen.

Obviously if it all goes tits up and Lastpass hack the world, it's your fault and I'll tell my friends* too :p

*when typing this, I actually typed 'friend' instead of 'friends' - Freudian slip or what :rotfl:
