I have to say still life is not my thing, but I gave it a shot, so many ideas, so many failures! The biggest issue, for me anyway, is lighting, without some sort of studio and/or studio lighting it doesn't work for me,

Anyway borrowed a watch, tried indoors, outdoors, reflector assorts, in the end this was shot indoors with my EOS R and sigma 105, a bit of dust/spot removal and a few tweaks in LR. Passed the time, I have loads stuck at home anyway :(

Lovely crisp details. Agree that the top right is a bit of a distraction, but with the watch being round not sure how else you could have composed.

think it's simply to crop out that glaringly bland single bit of whatever it's resting on.......

Do like watch shots and did consider doing the same; certainly wouldn't have been a Rolex though :D
