    Hi all

I have a panasonic DMR E-55 and wondered if it possible to do a partial Erase on a DVD-R ( ie taking adverts out) works ok on a DVD-Ram disc but this option appears not to be avaiable on a DVD-R.

    Any ideas

    Thanks

    Mike

No it's not. You either use DVD-RAM (which uses VR mode and thus allows features like timeslip, editing etc) or you use DVD-R (which uses Video mode and is highly compatible). To get the best of both worlds many people use a PC DVD burner to import and convert. You can find a guide to this by following the 'DVD-RAM to DVD-R' link in my signature.
