Hi my parents have seen my plasma and are also interested in getting one. The gave me a bell today to say that they had seen 2 at John Lewis in the UK the are the following plasmas

    Samsung Plasma Widescreen Television, PS42V4SKX

    http://www.johnlewis.com/Shopping/P...+Televisions&PRT=Plasma&Type=SKU&Id=230200692

    and the

LG Plasma Widescreen Television, RZ42PX11, 42 Inch

    http://www.johnlewis.com/Shopping/P...+Televisions&PRT=Plasma&Type=SKU&Id=230205193

Both going for £1495. Are these good buys and what is the better of the 2 if they are good at all?

Thanks for any info and Im sure my parents will also pass on their thanks

Why don't you get them to look at the panny PV50? Not sure what price JL are doing it for but they will price match and I am sure it is available for that sort of price.

The 42PX11 is alright though, wouldn't be a screen I would personally choose but it seemed ok when I saw one, not a clue about the Samsung though I am afraid.

That Samsung has now been replaced by a newer model - the PS42S5S. This should be far better at the same if not cheaper price!

JL are clearing out the old model with a supposed £200 Off offer - if you can wait - have a look at the newer models

    Gussie :)
