It's been up at least twice before and no-one has bought it. I'm hoping they'll start reducing the price soon until I can afford it.

BTW the new Parasound Halo products look very

How come no ones been interested ?? These retail for £2500 and have had very good reviews so £1300 for an exdemo one in good nick sounds like a steal

Yes the Halo series does look very nice indeed.

£1300's a great price but still a lot of money.
Based on the price the last Rotel 985 went for on eBay you could buy 4 and a bit 985's for £1300.

I really think it's cos no-one has the faintest idea who Parasound are, eBay is very mainstream.
Look at how well Bose auctions do. :zonked:

    Only getting the C2?

Go on get the C1 it's got the LCD screen built in. Think of the money you'll save by not having to buy a plasma. :D

They both look even more impressive from the back than from the front and computer programmable too. My local dealer was getting very enthusiastic about them but I will just have to window shop. :(

so apart from the C1 having the LCD, is the C2 any different?

Also, does anyone know how they compare to the arcam equiv?

    thanks

Apparently the C2 is identical to the C1 apart from the LCD screen and the transformer. According to Parasound (I spoke with one of their boffins in the US directly) - they sound identical.

    Hi

The C1 also has a few extra inputs on the back panel, i have had the C2 in the demo room and at home and must say it is a superb piece of equipment.

the 2 remotes are really good and the auto setup is also good,
delays and levels are very accurate, more so than using a SPL metre and measuring the distances.

Craig - how do you find the C2 compares to the likes of a TAG Dual Sharc and other similarily priced processors ? Whats it's stereo performance like ? Any insight you can give would be helpful.

    Thanks

i have a c2 processor. i upgraded from a tag av32r and found it MUCH better in every way. the biggest difference to me was music was so much nicer and not as bright as i was expecting (for some reason?) it has a 7.5 output, the .5 allowing you to assign the outputs for different things like a dedicated transducer output, a second centre etc...
i am not very good at giving reviews, but it has given me a smile on my face and no problems so far. i would definitely reccomend a listen - it wipes the floor woth the arcam av8 and is quite as good as the lexicon mc8 (my other choice i was looking at).

hi their, thanks for your replys. So, what does 7.5 actually mean?

does that mean I could assign the other .4 to e.g.

    1 extra sub
    1 extra center
    2 extra side surrounds?

Is it better to get the C2 & power amp over here or over there?

    thanks

    CaM
