Hi - I get my Sub on Saturday and have to say i can't wait but i thought i would try and understand how to set this up now before i get it. I have also ordered the PBK kit and just wanted to try and understand the setting on the sub and what order i need to things..

1. What setting's should i apply to the sub with regards to following (i have a denon AVR-3312 by the way)
Trigger on/off and Auto on/off
Subwoofer Cut-off with bypass option
Subwoofer level control
phase alignment (i will be using kef ls50's on the front and MA A10's with the rear)

2. Do i run Audessey on the denon first and then run the PBK or should i do it the other way round.

Thank you so much in advance :)

Auto on or on, whichever you prefer.
"cut off"? Crossover on sub? If so, bypass it or set it to the highest setting.

Sub level. I'd start in the 1/3rd to 1/2 range. Adjust as needed if Audyssey moves the sub level control in the receiver to one of the extremes during calibration.

I'd run PBK first.

It seems a bit wrong that a LPF is used at the high end and a HPF is used at the low end, but its not when you think about it. A LPF lets low frequencies pass, and a HPF lets high frequencies pass.

Set phase to 0,turn LPF to max . Run PBK first with gain control set to the click @mid point. Once this is done , PBK run, back the gain control down to about 10 o'clock.

Let Audyssey do the rest.

That properly confused me when I joined
