Was thinking of buying one these but not sure which to go for or if there is a better sub for a similar price.

has anybody heard either of these in action?

I had the PDR10 and can recomment it. It certainly was not boomy in my environment and was easy to set up. It was situated in a corner in a 16 x 14 foot room. It was also not bad with music although I am not an audiophile

If you can stretch your budget to £200 then Richer Sounds do the PS1000 has a sale item advertised in What Hifi magazine. This is another step up from the PDR10 but it is physically larger has well so will depend it you have the space for it. If you do decide to go for it then just keep checking What Hifi mag until they have it on offer again, this seems to be most months at the moment, then take the mag with you to RS.

Perhaps uncle eric will bag a Velodyne VX-10 powerbuy @£199.95 (as he has requested). I'd consider that if you can stretch to ~£200. Even at the list price of £249 it seems like a bargain.

I don't want to spend anymore than £200,but if i heard something very impressive i'd be willin to stretch it a little more.Has anyone heard the HSU VTF-2 i've read a few reveiws that said it was a good budget sub but i can't find any shops that stock the HSU range.

Sorry to go off at a tangent, but my PDR10 has done the same. Did your sub literally suddenly do this, or did you have a change of kit, location, cable etc ?

Also, the hum gets louder the longer the unit is plugged in for.
