Who else has this speaker? And what do you think of it. I feel that it lacks Bass and that crunching kind of sound.

Anyway my fronts are Mission 705, there are no Mission Centers to match this.

I have this speaker and I use it with a pair of Cerwin Vega AT 80's and I think it has plenty of base and is pretty clear for speach as well.
PS It sounds great on T2 UE in DTS you can realy hear that mini-gun thunder!

Are you sure? i thought it had rave reviews for it's bass capabilities?. Anyway, the Mission 70c3 can make a fair amount of noise!!.(and it's biwirable) I heard this when I upgraded my centre, but i wanted one to be a better match for the fronts, (older 732i's)so i went for the 77c1, (twin bass, triple tweeter!)it has tranformed my system, although i was not after spine crushing centre bass, (being based in a bedroom!!!)that said, it is now alot heavier!.
If at all feasable,(if you are using 705's you must have alot of room!) consider using a single 701 or 702 bookshelf speaker. i'm not sure how it would sound but given that these are ported differently to a centre speaker, you should find it capable of more bass. And then you would still have the all important tonal match.
    it was just an idea!

p.s are you using the 705a's (the active ones?).i'll bet you can wake the dead with them!!

Hi, Jeff in California-I have the Mission 705A as my fronts. I am a believer! My room is too small for these beasty towers.

I just found some mission vintage 770 series 2 and I am anxious to compare them to the 705a. I'll let ya'll know which is better.

The 705a is the best I've ever had. The mid range is its strength and the powered subs in each of them seem bottomless.

Mission 70c3 is the matching center speaker for the mission 705a, I have both and I won't be parting with them any time soon. They sound great hooked up to my Onkyo Ts xr875.

I love the original 770 but they are sensitive to positioning more than the 705a
The 770 needs to be in the corners for the bass to be deep and rich while the 705a with the built in amp and subwoofer can be anywhere in the room and still resonate in your gut.
