    Hiya

I get my 37" Viera from the nice people at JL on Tuesday.

Ive bought a QED component video & Audio cable.

    Ive got a few questions

1, Ive heard of "running in" a plasma - What do I need to do?
2, Should I switch it off at night?
3, How can I check if the panel has been used before? i.e. hours used

If anyone can think of anything else I need to know, please post!

    Cheers
    Danny

The idear of running in a plasma is so that it reduses the risk of screen burn.
The Viera plasma is quite resistant to this any way ,so its not to much of a problem.
Keep it set on normal or cinema mode for the first 150 to 200 hours. Dont use dynamic mode. The contrast is to high!!!

Its up to you if you switch it off at night. I sometimes put it in stand by or turn it of at the main switch on the pannel. As far as I know you will not cause any damage either way.
You can check if the pananel has been used before by getting into the service menu, However if you dont know what you are doing you can seriously do some damge to the panel. :)
