Can somone tell me why i cannot select 720p and 1080i when playing UK Pal films, yet as soon as i put in a Region 1 NTSC Disc i can select all scan rates 480/576p 720p and 1080i.
The kit is Denon 3910DVD DVI connected to DVI board on screen.

The Region1 films in 720p and 1080i blow away the uk region 2 films as i can only select 480/576p Although i am well impressed with the new DENON player the sound and PQ is Awesome.

Cheers in Advance "T"...........

Why not try Component video as well you may be surprised.............
Im more than surprised the Component input for me is now way better than the best i could get the DVI to look. and im now able to select all modes from 576p all the way to 1080i on both pal and NTSC films. THX setup disc used to calibrate was a doddle to do and no more noticable Blocking. i was up till this point gonna sell the 3910 DVD but now i am pleased.
my settings used on panny were
Contrast -1
Brightness -18
colour -3
sharpness +10
Advanced settings
input 0
All others -6
2.0
agc on
settings on player are set to STD give them a try,
i know that everyones panels are slightly different but it will certainly do till Gordon ISF's my screen. :D
