Just got a Panasonic Plasma 42 " TH42PA20B and the SCHT 900 home cinema kit - I was looking to set up progressive scan as all should be compatible.

I have connected up using Component cables and enable progressive on the DVD although I am unable to alter or access the settings for it as per manual details - anyone point me in the right direction ??

How did I tell if its working - you can press the progressive button on and off regardless dosent seem to do much either.

Progressive scan is only possible on NTSC on the SCHT900, its just a case of selecting Progressive output on the player and the P6 autodetects and switches to Progressive mode.
If your SCHT900 is n't multiregion then finding Reg 2 NTSC discs can pose something of a problem.
