Hi all.

Anybody rated the 42PX600 against the older 42PV500? I bought the PV500 12 months ago and have to say I have never really been impressed with it. DVD's are spot-on but everyday viewing via SKY ahs always been abit suspect, picture fragmenting etc.

There's seems to be so many good reviews on here for the PX600, just wondered if it is deemed better that the PV500?

Have you set your sky box up correctly (sorry if you have) 16:9 not 4:3, RGB not PAL and connected with a quality SCART cable.

Yes, done all those things. SCART is a IXOS gold plated. Is there any caliberation I can do to improve things?

We have two sky boxes in our house, one normal and one Sky+. The picture quality from the SKY+ box is streets ahead of the standard box, both have the settings put to 16:9 and RGB. Calibration settings are a personal thing, what one person likes another does not. Some like lots of colour to the point everyone has red faces, it is also dependant on the room brightness/darkness, all I would suggest is try different settings but in general you should have a good picture from Sky.
