If i connect this to my 32pl4 via s-video, will both the audio and video be carried over? If not audio, then what other cable do i need?

What is better, s-video, or standard scart, via a scart splitter.

(my tv has 2 scarts, and my digibox is connected to the rgb one, and the vcr to other one.)

I have a Panasonic DVD-XV10 connected through RGB Scart, if you connect it through your Sky digibox scart it should work fine, but only when Sky box switched off of course.
If you connect by S-Video cable it will not carry audio, you could use your front AV connections but if it was me I would daisychain it through your Skybox, only snag being you can't record Sky while watching a DVD.
Otherwise buy a cheap double scart box with a switch for a tenner ?
