Panny TH37PE50 - rather strange problem..?

I've posted this thread on behalf of my bro'...

He purchased a Panasonic TH37PE50 about 2 weeks ago. All was fine until very recently. While watching Freeview channels, the brightness/contrast appears to dim down after approx 5-10mins viewing. If he randomly presses any button on the remote control or removes and re-plugs the ariel lead, the original picture settings are restored.

He's confirmed this is only apparent with Freeview, DVD viewing is unaffected. I've re-read the manual and searched these forums, but nothing has come up with an answer.

Any ideas as to the cause before we refer this to Panasonic?

Seems a strange problem, I have the same telly but I don't use the freeview as I have Sky+.

If I were you I'd get in contact with panasonic

have you check that the power saving option is switch off

Should have followed this up weeks ago...

Turns out the problem was merely a poor aerial connection. The aerial plug was re-fitted, no problems since.
