    NOOB ALERT !

I've been offered a set of the Panasonic tallboy 5.1 speakers from a set which originally included the DVD player (the SCHT900 i thinks...) but
the offering isnt coming with that player - 'tis just the speakers...

Also, from a different source, been offered the SA-HE70 surround amplifier
but would it be an easy job to link the two of these or would the speakers
be designed for the DVD player in the original 'set' of kit?

Hope someone can help after theyve stopped laughing!

    Thanx!

can be done (Tall boy sub will be USELESS tho so need to budget for a SUB) or just buy the better looking and sounding Cantons CD100 fronts CD50 centre CD10 rears and AS20C SUB

Whilst they could be used with another received there are certainly a lot of all-in-one solution speakers that are highly optomised for use with the relevant amp and will not give an acceptable sound using a different amp. I cannot comment specifically on the tall boy speakers but have had personal experience with a number of other budget setups.
