Hi folks,
I feel this is probably a bit of a lost cause but I'll ask anyway. I have an old (2007 ish) 43" Panny Plasma and for some time now I've noticed a greenish 'splodge' in the middle of the screen. It's only really noticeable on light grey or white scenes, such as snow, etc, but it shows quite clearly on the navigation screen on my Freeview recorder (also Panny). I can only describe it as a transparent 'splodge' or 'cloud'. I've yet to noticed it on TV broadcasts, but it's definitely there on separate HDMI inputs from the Freeview Recorder and a Sony Blu-ray.
Is this something I could perhaps fix myself in the service menu? I know how to get into it but wouldn't really know what to look for.
Given its age, I don't think it would be economically viable to have it repaired, but it's generally such a great picture, I'll be sad to have to see it go.
Thanks.
