Going to order the PHD8 on Monday. I can buy 3 separate video boards & cables to connect my equipment -
    1) freeview box - rgb scart
    2) xbox/DVD - component
    3) sky HD (when available) - HDMI.

or I can buy one HDMI board,a DVD recorder with built in freeview and an upscaling HDMI output. I can connect my xbox to it via RGB scart and everything goes to the panel at 720p or 1080i into the HDMI board.

I'm still new to all of this so I would appreciate your help.

Will the PQ be better with the DVD HDMI route because I believe the panny panel upscales everything anyway?

Looking at the Sony RDR-HXD910 and the Philips DVDR7300H
Does anyone have these devices with the PHD8?

    Thanks :smashin:

Personally I find the component inputs a bit better than the HDMI, but there's not a huge difference IMHO.
