which would be the better bet?
    1. the panny PHD 6 = approx £3100 or
    2. the NEC42XM2 + Any Scaler (ISCAN/LUMAGEN) = approx £3300

would the NEC prove ultimatly better for around the same sort of money, or is the NEC that inferior to the PHD? If anyone has seen either of these screens I would be grateful for your imput.

    Thanks

Well, I have a 42" PHD, and can say that it's a stunning display.

After the running in, colours became a little deeper, although deffinition and contrast have been spot on since day one.

I am only using a Pioneer 565 dvd as main source, and this is connected to a JS RGB Scart to VGA converter and then up into the VGA input on the screen, so a scaler may well be a different matter.

All in all though, I can't sing the praises of the HD enough :)

    Adam.
