I've used the new digital video essentials.
The problem is, that the picture is located a bit to the left when using my dvd player. I then corrected this, through the service menu, and the picture is centered.
However, now the ordinary tv picture is located to the right!?
I thought the service menu stored different settings for each type of input!? Am I mistaken?

another question; whats the "normal" value for sub-bright?

For a discussion on PD30 settings, you might want to browse through this thread as several people have posted details of settings they've changed to improve their PD30 picture. I'm pretty sure that near the newer end of the thread, someone has posted about the adjustments they made to sub-bright

How do you adjust high/low red, green, blue?
Which button do I have to press at the remote?

    Jdg,
Sub-bright, out of the box, seems to vary between about 80 and 120 (on the 5 PD30s I've checked). Some people claim that increasing it reduces black crushing - but YMMV. Personally, I originally increased it to 120 (from 90), then set it back again to 95. I feel that increasing brightness and reducing contrast is a much better alternative as, to my eyes, increasing sub-bright too much tends to make lighter colours look washed out.

    Linkintones,
Press the yellow & blue fastext keys to alter values, green & red keys to cycle thru the options. To improve the "green edges" problem and reduce the overall green cast I increased both low and high red & blue (and also low-green, to a lesser extent) - increasing only one set can throw out the colour balance between light and dark tones.
